​Betsy Henderson

Betsy was making all her clothes by the fifth grade, and was a high school art teacher before changing her focus to clothing design professionally. She moved to Minnesota to pursue an advanced degree in 1990. This also provided her the opportunity to work for, and witness the growth of small clothing companies, as well as doing custom work in many areas: bridal, hard to fit figures, and theater. After completing a Ph.D. in Design and Aesthetics, she taught design, product development and production at major universities. She has been involved in technical design and production management in small businesses as well as corporate environments, nationally and internationally. She combines her love of dance, and since 2003, the Argentine tango as inspiration for her current Soft Chocolates® collection.
